Constant calls...

I read the reviews of every company before I accept a job and these people have been calling me every other day from different numbers. Once I read once that a company is a scam, I never go forward.

These people keep calling from different numbers even though I keep saying I'm not interested. A guy just called me and hesitated to say the company's name.

I literally had to continue to ask before giving any of my information. Wtf is up with these folks..

Since these guys (and others) can't afford to do adverts like the duck or Aaron Rogers... they depend on a high turnover cast of commission only telemarketers and hope you make an emotional decison to buy a product you probably don't need.

I did a simple on line inquiry and the phone calls were non stop and then all of sudden the same day a man is on my porch to discuss my inquiry. I was totally amazed at their arrogance. I would never do business with them.

A rep showed up at my door claiming my spouse had made an appointment for a different date and time. But he happened to be in the neighborhood.

I do have to say, the rep was polite and doing his job - selling. So, all in all - no bad feelings on my part. And if the need arises in the future for his services - I will give him a look.

Horrible Company and Aggressive approach

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This company called my mother-in-law, who has stage 6 Alzheimer's. Robert Thibault made an appointment with her, and she accepted because she is going through a phase where she desires male attention, but it is clear when talking with her that she cannot formulate a tangible sentence. My husband and I live next door and were gone for the day, when we got a hysterical call from the family. Mr. Thibault was kindly asked to leave by the caregiver, but he refused. Our nephew who live there asked this man to leave, and he spouted that since our nephew was not the homeowner he was not going to leave. The police and my sister-in-law were both called and the man continued to be aggressive and stated that he was invited, and he was not going to leave. He was shown the power of attorney stating that my mother-in-law was not well and that her children have legal right to make decisions for her, but that wasn't good enough either. He was belligerent and shouting at the family and police in front of a woman who he was trying to sell his service too. Mr. Thibault was escorted off the property by the police and trespassed. I want to make everyone aware of how desperate this man who represents this company is and be warned.

I to had similar issues with a manager (Israel Wizenfeld). When I realized that this was not as good idea and decided to back out this guy had someone (female ) call me from a differant number I expressed to her that I was moving she said ok.

Then this Isreal guy called me repeatedly even using a no caller ID number. When i finally decided to answer the calI I expressed to him that I was not interested he called me a f***ass hole and this guy is a manager at this company stay far far way from this company.

Bad agent experience

My husband I were new agents with Family First Life under the up line Eric Anthony. The relationship started out as he told us as a partnership, but we starting on a lead program.

The lead program consisted of receiving and calling duplicate, old leads before even being fully contracted with Family First Life. Customers that we set appointments with said that they advertised free insurance. We were told to tell customers not to sign anything online again if they don't want to be called. The training seemed very harsh and rude towards uninterested customers or those who were just shopping.

Contracts between carriers and us were changed after we had written business to a pay as earned commission, but we had discussed and agreed to 100% commission. We had a contract with the carriers to receive 100% commission. I contacted the carrier and set a repayment schedule after I learned that I had a charge back from a cancelled policy. Eric Anthony which is my up line decided to change my contract with another carrier without notification to me after I had written a policy three months in advance.

He and my husband had a disagreement, and that's when the contract changes occurred in both our contracts. I felt it was retaliation for Eric's disagreement with my husband. A day later, I received multi correspondence from a new specialist from the company I had already called to set an agreement of repayment. It was with another agent.

This new agent that contacted me contacted me after a day or two after my husband had confronted Eric on his dishonesty and his unprofessional and unethical behavior. This is the retaliation that I am referring to: change in my contract commission without notification from Eric Anthony after I had written and worked on a policy for about three months and changed correspondence from another agent that I did not speak with concerning my repayment of charge backs with a carrier. If you are looking for great training, culture, and professional experience in the life insurance business, this is not the office to work with in Houston as long as Eric Anthony is the leadership/ headship there. The charge backs were do to the incorrect training and example from Eric Anthony as we were new to the life insurance business which he was very much aware of.

For an example of his training, he had trained new agents to call him when we are in the home of the client and I did just that. He was rude when I called, told me to google it, and that he was at the pool with his son. I called during normal business hours and did what he said to do. He later tried to indirectly apologize because he knew what he told us on a conference call.

I'm not bitter, just very disappointed because we were always professional, up front, and spent money on T-shirts and supplies when we really did not have it to spend.

We believed and went all in only to be let down hard and disrespectfully by Eric Anthony. I can honestly say that this was the worst experience I've had in the industry.

its a charge back-- a policy holder cancelled or didnt pay-- had nothng to do with "disagreement" tween your husband and upline.. chargebacks happen-- 1 or 2 policies would have taken care of this.

some arent cut out for this line of work.. ive been in business for over 10 yrs and realize a lead is a lead is a lead...

ive been making 6 figures for yrs and also have a residual as well each month... this isnt for every one,, maybe you and your husband arent cut out for this

Sounds like an agent wrote this and not a consumer. My family member who is an advisor (for over 15yrs) has always said that using life insurance policy to "save" for retirement or children college is not an appropriate vehicle - you have to take a loan if you need any of the cash value and pay it back at a 6-8% interest which the policy will state.

Due to fees and the low rate of returns, it is difficult to have large sum of monies to accumulate. Agents will "sell" you anything but you have to read the print in the policy. The cash value has a "guarantee" and a "non-guarantee" illustration that the rate used is not regulated as it is with your investment hypotheticals.

Guarantee is what you will get and the non-guarantee is what you more than like will not get. IULs do not reflect the market rate of returns, the returns are capped at a lower amount.

Unscrupulous Business Practices

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

First Family Life closed the door on me right after the hiring process. They want new agents to conduct sales calls, before they have been properly contracted with the individual insurance carriers.

Not only are you prohibited from doing this, but you also won't get paid.

They also use high pressure sales tactics, that are unethical. An ethics violation in itself, could cause your insurance license to be revoked.

I have had a similar experience with Americo and Agent Morgan, who submitted my application without my express consent or approval. BEWARE the information you provide as the "application process" committed me to the purchase of a policy without my review.

completely unethical. Training is call from as many phones as you have up to 30 times a day after spending 30 bucks a pop for said numbers.

if they don't answer don't leave a message if they do don't mention its life insurance. for those poor people that were misled into thinking they are just asking for information that don't answer the phone they train you not to leave a message, you have their address, knock on their door. if they don't answer and there is a car in the driveway text them and tell theme you are going to call the police to do a wellness check.

these are mostly poor, elderly people being preyed on. shameful

Are sure? Because the Leads are all generated from sources that specify the product.

So, the person who you are calling know that they requested info for Mortgage protection, or Life Insurance. Now, if that agent decided to buy leads from his own Unreputable source, that could be possible. Also, like most Insurance Agencies, they are ran by different people. You can have multiple agencies under the family name.

For example Family First Life is the mother company. She has Family First Life West Coast, ... East Coast, ...USA, ... Midwest, ...Legacy, and etc...

and under those are the agencies built by agents who decided to created their own business. So, you could have been dealing with a very horrible person. I’m sorry for that. When it comes to compensation, experienced agents can start out at 100 and typically non experienced start at 80.

Which is drastically higher than most companies.

They actual compensation that you are paid also depends on the Carriers and their products. FFL compensation determines the max amount you can get under your contracted terms.

Unlicensed, Unscrupulous agents at Family First Life

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I am an agent in California and was being recruited by an agency manager at Family First Life. The manager sent me several audio recordings of how they make appts to prospects over the phone. They are very deceptive in their approach . So deceptive that I decided to look them up at the dept of Insurance only to find that this agency manager was denied a license in the state for cause. In other words he is selling without a valid license. I have also noticed they constantly send me production numbers of how a certain agent , with only 30 days in the business will pay for over 30k in first 60 days.....as any experienced agent knows it takes time to contract, write a case then issue a case even if it guaranteed issue. The production numbers are just made up or very exaggerated. When they send me a production report of their agents I have been able to identify some of the agents are also unlicensed in their respective States.
